About

Hi! My name is David, and I love to juice. At the end of 2011, I had a biometric screening done and my numbers weren’t the healthiest – borderline diabetic, high cholesterol, overweight. When I had the counselling session afterward, the advisor suggested that at least half my diet should be fresh fruits and veggies. I have a wonderful family and two amazing daughters, and I wanted to make sure (to the extent it’s in my control) to be able to stick around a long time to see and help them grow up happy and healthy.

After some investigation, I came across a video – Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead – and watched it on Netflix. That movie opened my eyes to the world of juicing as a way of getting fresh, raw veggies and fruit into my diet. I bought myself my first juicer in January 2013, and I’ve been juicing a lot. I also lost 40+ lbs., which has made me a lot healthier.

People have asked for my recipes, advice, and techniques, so I’m finally getting around to developing a blog as an online place for that. I don’t claim to be an expert, only someone who wants to share and help others discover a great way (one way) to increase their overall health.

In a nutshell, I view juicing as a type of healthy, raw cooking that will be a great addition to your culinary repertoire. So, from a much healthier Daddy to you, whether you’re a beginner or have been juicing all of your life, welcome to daddyjuicing.com. I look forward to virtually meeting and talking with you!
